Non-profit organization for helping children and families
Since 1999 Mary’s Place Seattle has been providing wide-range services and shelter, to support women, children and families. Their mission is to change the course of life to those headed towards homelessness.
MARY’S PLACE BELIEVES THAT NO ONE’S CHILD SHOULD SLEEP OUTSIDE.
Spread out across five emergency family shelters in King County, this non-profit is making sure that families are kept together, have a roof above their heads, and are safe when they have no place to go… Mary’s Place is also making sure to provide resources, community, employment services, and hope to those who need the most. Their main focus is working with families to help address obstacles, and support parents to create family stability, safe housing, and preparation for employment. Mary’s place is also highly concentrated on connecting children with schools and helping them partaking in fun and educational activates.
With a lead of their health service director, part-time nurses and various health professional volunteers, Mary’s place provides evaluation and treatment for more than 1000 medical conditions, every year.
