A Day in Miami

Miami is the destination for pristine beaches, mind-blowing skylines, and fantastic nightlife. This so-called “Magic City” has plenty to offer to millions of visitors each year. My Next Pin recently spent a day in Miami and had a wonderful time.

Since Jelena has been in Naples, FL, for the last few weeks, a day trip to Miami was a piece of cake. It took about two and a half hours ride, along the gorgeous Florida Coastline, and we were there.

Historical Fact: Florida has the longest coastline in the Continental US.

Our Hotel

For a hotel, we choose Loews, Miami Beach. Being proud dog parents, we always choose a pet-friendly hotel( Leo travels with us everywhere). Loews is certainly pert friendly, but not only that.

This beautiful hotel is located at the heart of Miami Beach, at the famous Collins Ave, overlooking the ocean.

We loved staying there. During our stay, we enjoyed the sweeping pool deck with a jacuzzi and spacious pool area. In addition, we tried their VIP soak cabanas and daybeds, perfect for extra comfort and privacy.

Fun Fact: Loews Hotel is perfect for a day in Miami since it is located in the center of all of Miami’s famous spots.

This hotel is also hosting the signature Award-winning restaurant Lure Fishbar.

And it features authentically local tastes of Miami at Miami Joe Coffee CO.., Bar Collins, Preston’s Market, and Nautilus.

Loews has a great spa, fitness center, yoga, and barre classes for those staying longer. The staff is excellent, and the overall hospitality is top-notch.

We are certainly recommending Loews Hotel in Miami.

Touring South Beach and Ocean Drive

After exploring the hotel, we decided to take a walk at the famous South Beach and the historic Ocean Drive.

Both places were very busy with tourists and locals enjoying the warm weather.

South Beach offers endless ocean views, warm sand beaches, and glamorous nightspots featuring celebrity chef eateries.

Ocean Drive is known for its well-preserved Art Deco architecture and tourist party scene.

Historical Fact: Ocean Drive was home to the late Gianni Versace and his iconic Casa Casuarina.

Spotting a piece of Seven Magic Mountains

Driving through Miami, we spotted a piece of Seven Magic Mountains, originating in Las Vegas, created by renowned Swiss artist, Ugo Rondinone.

Seven Magic Mountains is a beautiful and colourful art exhibition located 10 miles south from Vegas. This large, land based art installation, is the biggest in the US in the last 40 years. It’s a must see site that takes your breath away.

Dinner at Jaya at the Setai

At night we decided to go to Jaya at the Setai. This exclusive restaurant is on the same street as our hotel, so we decided to walk. We highly recommend you make a reservation before going, as this place is trendy.

Tourist Info: You can book your Setai dining experience on Open Table.

Jaya at the Setai is part of The Setai Hotel and Residences. It features Asian Cousine, specializing in Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Korean and Indian.

The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. We highly recommend you choose an outside seating, so you will get to enjoy their gorgeous courtyard, elegant dancers, and a fantastic fire show.

After hours the place transforms into a club. The music gets louder, and you get to dance the night out from the comfort of your booth/table.

Jaya at the Setai is a must-visit as well.

Brunch at Cecconi's Miami

The following day, we went for brunch at Cecconi’s Miami.

This Venice-origin restaurant has its location in the courtyard of Soho Beach, Miami. Cecconi’s offers classic Italian food and a relaxing yet elegant atmosphere. The restaurant also features the Celebrity Chef Sergio Sigala.

The outdoor/indoor set at Cecconi’s Miami feels like a dream. The enchanted forest-like vibe is breathtaking and offers such a unique dining experience.

Cecconi’s has locations in Istanbul, London, Berlin, Barcelona, Brooklyn, West Hollywood, and Miami. Each of these restaurants is similar yet offers the unique spirit of the city it represents.

Have you ever visited any of these locations?

Tourist Fact: Cecconi’s is a dog-friendly restaurant.

A day in Miami

Dinner at Zuma Biscayne Bay

The second night we decided to dine at Zuma, a chic Japanese hotspot located at the heart of Biscayne Bay, Miami.

Overlooking the Miami River and gorgeous private Marina, Zuma is exquisite yet offers a very trendy spirit.

We indulged in their delicious seabass tempura, various sushi rolls, and a delightful chocolate muse during our dinner.

We concluded our night with a walk by the Marina, admiring the spectacular yachts parked there. It was a perfect way to end our day in Miami.
