As we are approaching the end of 2021 and preparing for the Holidays, let’s not forget about those who need us. This is the season for giving, so let’s spread the Holiday Cheer together, and help those who face special challenges in our community. Â
The YWCA organization have been supporting women and families who are facing violence and discrimination for over 100 years. They offer services in a form of youth programs, emergency shelter and housing. Consider donating for families who need you by donating gifts, or becoming their one -time or long-term volunteer by emailing  volunteer@ywcaworks.org.
The Lake City Holiday Project organization is sponsored by Meadowbrook Community Care. Their main contribution is fulfilling Holiday Wishes for low income children every year. In addition, they support community non-profits, like community centres, food banks and housing groups. FareStart organization helps those in need all throughout the year, by preparing and delivering food to shelters across Seattle. Consider helping by donate to FareStart or become a volunteer by emailing volunteer@farestart.org.
Westside Baby organization collects and supplies diapers, clothing, sleeping and safety equipment for babies and children. To bring cheer to local families in crisis, consider subscribing to monthly boxes for babies or volunteer at their White Center hub.
