The ultimate winter packing guide
Happy New Year, ladies. Welcome to our first blog post for 2023. It’s February, so it is the perfect time to do our winter gear, bundle up, and head to the mountains. I will be going to Lake Tahoe Ski Resort in a couple of days, so I prepared the ultimate guide for packing for the snow.
But first, let’s talk a little.
I am not a skier, but skiing has been on my bucket list for the longest time. This year, I finally took a step and booked a lesson at the Summit at Snoqualmie Pass, an hour away from Seattle. I am not going to lie, it wasn’t easy, but I didn’t give up. I want to learn how to ski and thoroughly enjoy the snow, and I am very grateful for the support from my friends and husband.
Whether you are a pro, learning like me, or love to enjoy the snow while sipping hot chocolate on the deck, I hope you will find my guide for packing for the snow valuable and exciting.
Let’s begin.
When packing for the snow, you first want to bring waterproof yet stylish boots. These Moon boots give you just that. Inspired by the 1969 Lunar landing, these beauties feature a great slip-on design, rubber tread sole, multi-size foam lining, PVC heel counter, and 100% water repellency. They go in multiple colors, representing the perfect shoe for the snow.
Next on our guide is a warm jacket. This North Face All Mountain Jacket is water resistant and offers 550 fill-down insulation and superior warmth in the cold. This jacket also has secured zip pockets for storing your essentials when on the go, making it perfect for a day stroll, skiing, or a night out by the fire.
The third item on our winter packing list is Snoga Snow Pants. Whether you are a skier or love the snow, these North Face All Mountain Pants will be your best buddies in the snow. They are high-waisted and slim-fitting and feature unique WinWall technology. They go in multiple colors and sizes and have excellent front zipper pockets.
Speaking of pants, your snow adventures are always better with the perfect thermal leggings. These Aoliks leggings feature a super comfy fleece lining and soft-to-touch material. The side pockets are such a great touch, as well as the fact they are not see-through! These are a must for your winter vacation.
Now, let’s talk about tech long-sleeve shirts. These Uniqlo shirts, made with unique blends that wick the moisture from the human body and convert the kinetic energy into heat, hit the jackpot for snow days. You can either get a turtle neck or a regular, it depends on your preference, and now one thing, you will always be warm when outdooring in winter.
Perfect ear warmers are also essential for staying warm in the snow. These beauties are durable, foldable, and super friendly. They are made of comfortable plush material and come in multiple colors. Why not make a fashion statement while staying warm?
Next on our ultimate guide for packing for the snow is this adorable Ugg winter hat. This rib-knit is made from a cozy wool blend, offers a wide cuff, and goes in various colors. Pair it with the Moon boots at the top of our list; you got the perfect match.
Are you ready for a snowball fight or a fun ski session? These Gordini gloves are perfect for just that. The main features include water resistance, breathability, and textured palm and finger areas for enhanced grip. I have a pair of these, and they are great.
Cozy warm socks are another perfect item for snow days. These socks are made of wool and polyester, have reinforced toe and heel, and an elastic cuff, and they are super friendly, soft, comfortable, and skin-friendly.
Last but not least, I wanted to suggest this faux fur west. I have it, and I love it. It can be great for a night out in the mountains, paired with a wool dress, or for a more casual look with some pants. It goes in various colors and sizes, and since it’s faux fur, it makes the perfect statement wherever you go.
